Out with the Old, In with the New

Oh, hey, I have a blog.

Busy days around here lately with little writing done, but the good news is, I’m back in front of the keyboard and starting on something else.  I’ve been tracking and promoting SARA’S GAME for the past couple of weeks, and it’s amazing how much time marketing and number-crunching can take up when you’re doing it all on your own.

My wife and I are trying to get the house ready for the arrival of our first child in the middle of December, and I’ve been happily tackling my honey-do list.  The office has shaped up nicely after putting in a new bookcase, installing shelves in the closet, rearranging furniture, and adding the old love seat after we replaced our couches earlier this week.  Next comes the baby’s room, but there’s still a lot of work to be done.  Repainting, putting together more furniture, the crib, etc. etc.

We’ve been warned by multiple sources that if we think we’re busy now, just wait until he makes his grand entrance, and I have no doubt that they’re right beyond words.  Exciting events coming soon, and I don’t know how much time or energy I’ll have to write after the middle of December; at least not for a while.  At this point, I’m wondering if it might be possible to type while wearing a BABYBJÖRN.

I’d like to get some new work out within the next couple of months, but it may be more along the lines of a longer novella than a full-length novel.  I’ll do what I can before I’m knee-deep in diapers and falling asleep at my desk!

And, I just wanted to add a huge thank you to everyone that has downloaded, purchased, read, reviewed, and emailed me about how much they enjoyed SARA’S GAME.   The past couple of weeks have been immensely encouraging and I’ve even gotten a little bit misty-eyed at a couple of the notes I’ve gotten.  Big softy.  Can’t help it.  I really appreciate you sharing it with your social circles too – it’s a tremendous bonus, and like I said in the back of the book, word-of-mouth helps out so much more than any type of marketing or advertising I could ever do on my own.

You guys rock.  Thank you for the added confidence.

      Hi Mr. Lindsay,

I just finished reading “Sara’s Game.” I downloaded it from the free ebooks on Amazon. I just started reading it around 6 pm (10/26/12) and the only time I put it down was to hit the “lady’s room ” and to eat dinner. I finished at approximately 1:50 am (20/27/12). I found myself totally entrenched in the story line due to your descriptions of people, places and things. As a mother, I could definitely relate to Sara’s fear for her children and her willingness do whatever (the bad guy) told her to do. I also could see her moral struggle when she had to make that final challenge.

Without going in to too much detail and thus spoiling the book for someone who has yet to read it., I am curious where about where Michael “ended up.” Was also shocked by the ending regarding Johnson.

However, I still loved the book and look forward to reading more of your books.
